Privacy policy

Protecting your personal data genuinely matters to me. This website is deliberately built to be data-minimal: no tracking cookies, no ad networks, no external font or analytics services. Below you will find which data is nevertheless processed and what happens with it. The German version is the legally binding one.

Hosting and server log files

When you visit this website, the web server automatically stores access data in what are known as log files: the page requested, date and time, volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system, referrer URL and the IP address. This processing is technically necessary in order to provide the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is the legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless they are required to investigate a specific security incident.

Getting in touch

The contact form on this website does not transmit any data to a server. Your entries are processed in your browser only and transferred into a prepared email in your own email client. Your details reach me only once you send that email yourself.

If you contact me by email, I process the data you provide (name, email address, content of the enquiry) exclusively in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Your enquiry is stored for as long as it is needed for processing. If it leads to an engagement, the related documents are kept for the statutory retention period (as a rule seven years).

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies for analytics or advertising purposes. Only one setting is stored in your browser's local storage: your preference for the light or dark theme. This information never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time through your browser settings.

Fonts and external content

All fonts used are delivered locally from this website's own web server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other content delivery network. Likewise, no social media plugins, map or video services are embedded.

Processors and transfers

A hosting provider is used to operate this website, with whom a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Beyond that, your data is not passed on to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfil a contract or required by law. No transfer to third countries outside the EU takes place.

Your rights

In principle you have the following rights:

• Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
• Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
• Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

Right to complain to the supervisory authority

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.

Security

This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. In addition, technical and organisational measures are taken to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.
